Shayu is a music producer & visual artist based in Zurich. Her style in music is best described as synth grime, bass, new gen/synth grime, experimental club and ambient music. Her productions are very melody-driven,  melancholic & rich on samples she recorded herself.

She takes her inspirations from classical music, uk bass, modular synth sounds, nature, daily life etc. Her debut, EP " Liang", was released by Files Rec, a label based in Lausanne. Later, she released a five-track EP named "All the way through" via the London based label, Coyote Records. Shows in cities like London, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow and Shenzhen have followed within the first years of her career. She composed music for fashion shows for the London, Shanghai and Taipei Fashion Week. 

During Covid in 2020 she scored a worldwide digital campaign for the Italian luxury brand Valentino.  Her compositions can nowadays be found in numerous art performances, short films, on labels, in the form of self-releases. Besides collaborations with other music producers she likes to work with likeminded artists from different fields, such as contemprary dancers or visual artists. Regarding her visual art, she is interested in the juxtaposition of her soundscapes with her abstract paintings / digital paintings and tries to find ways to merge and morph them together and mostly creates the artworks for her covers.
